Does your roxor have clutch noise? (Also flashing check engine light)

Im at around 2k miles on my roxor now, I STILL have a rattle when I let off the clutch. It gets louder with RPM as well. I think it's a lot of the "noise" I've been chasing. Don't ever recall hearing a noise with clutch out on any other vehicle (minus a throwout bearing gone bad).

Also, new problem.. Was on a a trip, filled up with diesel and then forgot the damn cap. I had to get on a ferry immediately to an abandoned island for the weekend and didn't have a cap. I tied plastic over it so nothing would get in, the best I could at least. On the drive home after getting off the ferry, I filled up with diesel and started going home. Now I've got a flashing check engine light. I put a cap on it today, filled it with hot shots diesel clean and drained the water seperator, went for a drive and still have the flashing check engine light.. Apparently there's no way to pull codes without a dealer?? Thats dumb as *uck if that's the case.

I got this noise with the HD clutch disc from Diesel Freaks. The harmonics from the engine at idle makes the disc rattle on the input shaft. If it goes away when you clutch in, it is totally normal. If it was your throwout bearing, you would get an audible growl from the bearing in gear at a stop.
As for pulling codes, you will need the OBD2 adapter from Diesel Freaks, and a Bluetooth OBD reader. There are many apps for phone that will work with those. I use the Torque app for Android. But like I say, many apps work with it. The ECM will not output any real live data, but you can read generic OBD2 codes and look them up in the manual or on the net. In the Roxor ECU, the code clears after a few engine start cycles when the issue gets resolved.

Dang that’s weird with the clutch! And also kind of annoying. Not the end of the world but definitely wish it were a bit quieter. The whole thing shakes too while accelerating heavy, maybe its motor mounts or something that’s more the issue than the clutch at higher rpms.

This is on a 2.7 though, my understanding is nobody knows the interface? Scanguage and the like won’t work?

The warmer the trans the louder it gets? I did the hd clutch and belly up not long ago. Mines quiet on startup and after driving a bit it gets louder. Didn’t do it before but your explanation makes since. Almost sounds like an idle rollover noise in the trans. But it’s a slight knocking /rattling noise. I’ve found that with low idle it makes it more pronounced. 750 it’s loud. Rev to about 900 and it gets much quieter.

@DrunkenSlug Ahhh didnt see the 2.7L. Sorry. No help on the codes there.
On the clutch, If you're getting vibrations, that could be more than the disc rattle. Probably worth making sure the trans is ok internally. Check oil levels and maybe drop a bit of the oil to make sure its clean and no metal is on there. Hope things work out for ya!

You can pull codes with a standard code reader, you just need an OBD-M to OBD-2 adapter. OBD2 Adapter 2018-2022 - Diesel Freak

I had the fluid changed at time of clutch install. Put about 35 hrs on it and changed it again. This time with CennPeco oil. The tacifier in it did quit it down a little. Or it could just be in my head. Either way no chunks on magnet or excess sludge. Oil,looked clean as well. I’m just gonna keep on keeping on. Never thought about the clutch discs causing the noise.

@txroadkill If you want a real eye opener, put the rear on stands and throw it in like 3rd gear and let it ldle. It'll scare the crap outta ya thinking the rear end is coming apart. Had that when I changed gears and was just testing it out before I drove it. But it just accentuates the low idle pulses from the engine.

Got it figured out! The fuel filter was bad. Even unplugging the water separator didn't fix it. I went and swapped in a John Deere filter. Part number re533026 incase anyone needs it. James River Equipment keeps them in stock, 30$ instead of the mahindra price. Have 2 more on the way from amazon, 30 for 2. They DONT have a spot for the sensor to plug in though. I don't mind. I guarantee this John Deere one will last more than the less than 2k this one got me.
