I have three wiring harnesses (will be using rocker switches - rear bumper lights, rock lights, interior dome) that each come with the corresponding in line fuse and I’m wondering what options others have used for hot/ground hookups. Can you pigtail the hot pole from the battery to make it easier to get wires out of the way?

Direct end metal loop over battery terminals is obviously the easiest (I only know this way, but I would like to do something cleaner than having three loops over the posts). I am currently installing the XTC auto cancel signal kit so I know the roxpower fuse box is in the driver side footwell, and the main fuse box is on the drivers side of the engine bay. Any recommendations?

Side note- Im completely clueless on where all these grommets are. Instructions make it seem like its easy to get wiring into the cab, but it looks like they feed into the area under the factory center console and/or the tar tape covered holes go into the lockboxes which seem useless. I’d prefer not to have to punch through the main boot on the frontside of the cabin.

WHAT I DID
You will need an Automotive Fuse Panel (probably a 6 circuit), as well as a 12V Relay to power it up. I picked up both from NAPA. I also installed a Grounding Point using a Ground Bar that I bought at the Hardware Store.
You will want the Panel to only have power when the key is on. To do this I spliced into the Charger Port Wire (Cigarette Lighter Plug) on the dash, and connected it to the relay to power it up when the key is on. You will also need a Ground Wire to the Relay for it to operate.
Next you will need to Run a Power Wire from the Battery to the Relay. I used a #10 Stranded Wire for this. I installed a 30A Inline Fuse in this wire at the Battery to protect it.
What we now have is a Power Wire from the Battery + Post to the Relay. Then a Power Wire from the Relay on to the Distribution Panel. We also have a second #10 wire from the Negative Battery Terminal to the Ground Bar.

At this point you will have SIX Fused Power Terminals to run wires for accessories from.

IF DOING IT OVER
I would order the XTC Power Products Power Distribution Kit from either Diesel Freak or XTC Direct. Part Number PCS-F1-FB6. It is currently under $100. Cheap enough, and comes with Instructions. Neat and Tidy installation.

WHAT I HAVE WIRED UP
I installed Harbor Freight Rock Lights on the interior for Interior Lighting. One on the Roll Bar and a second under the Dash. Work great.
I installed a Harbor Freight 6 LED Light Bar on the back of the roof for rear lighting.
I have my Turn Signals powered up, as well as my Windshield Wiper. Sooner or later I will probably add a Light Bar up front.

ROXPOWER
Your Roxor Dealer can possibly order the OEM Auxiliary Power Distribution Panel. I would probably still go with the XTC Kit. I am 100% sure that you will get the XTC Kit a lot quicker than the OEM Kit.

SWITCHS
Go to rockerswitchpros.com for your Marine Grade Custom Engraved Rocker Switch's. You will probably want the ones that are Back Lighted when the key is on, and have a second light to indicate the switch is activated. Several colors of lights to choose from. I used plain White. You will need to make up a Jumper for the Light showing the switch is activated. No big deal at all.

Have Fun.

Great info Bob!

My unit came with Roxpower already installed and I actually used one of the ACC ports to plug my turn signal kit into. Since all of my wiring harnesses come with inline fuses (Harbor Freight harness package with switch) how do you recommend connecting the hot wire into the fuse panel? I’d prefer to use that location vs running it all the way to the battery and using the loop around terminal end, but not sure if there is either a plug end I can switch it out to OR if there is a drawback to adding a fuse tap to the end of the wire that already has an inline fuses.

I have not bought any of the kits from Harbor Freight with the Fuse and Switch so far.
I would connect the end of the wire that is supposed to connect to the battery to the Roxpower Panel after removing the inline Fuse. That will have it fused for protection in the Roxpower Panel. Then install the Switch.
