Has anyone built a homemade intake yet? I know Vivid offers one but curious of anyone out there made their own?

take a look at some of the photos of cold air intake. 250.00 oem direct fit has vacuum line with filter change guide to egr working.
After egr is removed then all those extra lines going to oem filter are removed then a simple homemade air intake / cone filter is installed
i’m not an expert but this is what is found from following the post before

search cold air intake
inexpensive kit for the parts then change out the 3 inch inlet
filter for 3” inlet k&n come filter at auto parts store

I have one I'll sell ya for $40 plus shipping. Take a look at my thread Budget friendly Cold air Intake. The intake works great but the problem was it made my Roxor louder and I didn't go for it.
