My Roxor is on the farm so I cannot measure the bed as I am researching bed mounted sprayers. Could someone let me know the width between the inner wheel wells? I believe it is 35” but not sure.

Anyone use a pull behind sprayer instead of bed mounted?

Thanks

The best solution is a flat aluminum plate over the wheel wells covering almost the entire back bed. This helps with having lots more room in the back as well as space below the new deck. If you use some angle iron placed just inside the wheel wells, the deck plate will stay in place easily. Put your spray rig onto the new level deck.

jsmcada's 65 gallon sprayer is the best looking spray rig that I have seen on a Roxor. He did a great job on it. His Sprayer Hose set up has a Hose Reel. Very Professional, and well thought out. If you do some serious spraying, this is about as good as it gets on a Roxor.

I have a 25 Gallon Sprayer. It fits between the wheel wells. I have a Hard Cab rear Bulk Head on my Roxor. I have D Rings bolted to the bulk head to ratchet strap the spray tank in place. I am using a Fan Sprayer mounted to the Reese Hitch. A folding Boom Sprayer would probably be even better, and still could be fabricated to be Reese Hitch Mounted. My hand sprayer hose is just loose in the bed.
I have a Receptacle (120V Weather Proof only wired up as 12V) mounted on the Rear Bulkhead. I just plug the sprayer in for it to be powered up. I use this same receptacle for my Seeder which also is Reese Hitch Mounted.
I have my sprayer Power Cord junction-ed near the motor and have a switch cord going to the cab so I can turn the sprayer on and off from the cab.

Thanks, Bob R1.

Leslie, here's the link to get what I got. They have tanks and spray rigs of different sizes. You can put together different models to fit your purpose. I use my hand wand for fence lines, and for open areas I need to spray, I use the boom. Thinking of changing out the boom with a 3-nozzle boomless boom that will increase the reach to 30' for each pass. Download a Tractor GPS Field guidance navigation app, and you're good to go for spraying your pastures.

3 Nozzle Boomless Boom With Up To 30' Coverage

Good luck, and let me know if you need any help finding what you want.

The Fan Sprayer that I am currently using is cheap and easy to install, HOWEVER using it with any wind is a problem. Pretty much two problems, one it is hard to get the chemical where you want it to go on the ground, and you have a lot more of a problem getting the chemical on you since it is sprayed up and not down. Something to think about.
Having your Conventional Boom Sprayer in Three Sections so the ends fold up is also very handy transporting it.

Just looking at the spray rig in your picture, it does not look to be over 25 Gallons. My 25 Gallon Sprayer just sets in the bed. No need for an elevated platform. The one I have is a Poly Tank with an End Drain. No metal frame like the one shown. My Poly Tank has held up for several years. I am on the Third Pump.

Bob R1, My spray rig has a 65 gallon tank. I listed the link below.

You may be right about the drift with the boomless sprayer. I think I can use the boomless setup when the wind is low and then switch back to the boom if I have to. Using the 30' boomless vs the 12' boom is sure tempting. I can cover a lot of ground at 30' per pass. I'm thinking I'll use an anti-drift agent also.

When you decide to get a new sprayer I highly recommend the Ag Spray Equipment model 5302904. You will be surprised at all the extras that come with it, as well as a great design. Well worth the extra money.
