I have a 2019 that I recently purchased the Dashlink II from Autometer as I have the dreaded ffffff issue. I bought the OBD II connector from Diesel Freak but am unable to connect the dongle via bluetooth on an IOS device. It has power but does not show up as discoverable in bluetooth devices. It appears that the design has changed from what is shown on Diesel Freaks site. Has anyone else installed the new design? Have you had any connection issues and have any of you used it with an IOS device? Thanks in advance!
Update: I should upload a pic of the egg on my face
I found an old android phone and got it to hook right up. Turns out, for IOS devices, the dongle doesn't show up under devices, and there was no way to know that it automatically connects via BLE. Also, I had the phones bluetooth turned on, but hadn't given the app permission to use bluetooth. For android devices, the dongle does show up and and is discoverable as either bluetooth or BLE. All is well!! I have an excuse though.....I'm old and electronics illiterate!
