Good morning! I have a 2019 Mahindra Roxor with a Gilomen Stage 2 tune. I recently freed up the park brake and did some other fixes on it. I switched the computer with the right one and got up to 76mph with the Gilomen tune. I came home, parked it, and later, when I started it and drove it, it had noticeably less power, but still better than before switching the computer. I sped up, and about a minute or so after driving, it lurches and is really slow on power. I then wondered what would happen if i unplugged the computer, so I unhooked it, waited a couple of seconds, plugged it back in, and it had huge amounts of power but would eventually lose it again after stopping. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

hook it up to a computer and see if your getting any ninja codes, this happens to me similarly though only when I drive it like I stole it at 5th gear at around 3150 RPMS

Wade from Diesel freak sells them on their website, last i checked a while ago. Major help for me, if it wasnt the scanner I would'nt have known about the ninja codes, all the while a decrease in acceleration. It is the weirdest thing for me, whenever I trip it I always need to clear the ECM codes

Can it check codes even without a check engine light on or the computer having a 2019 Roxor option?

yes most certainly, most scanners are not compatible so just go with the vetted ones. the one from DF was the cheapest as it is a straightforward plug in under the dash, and download the app. It will certainly be a pain in the royal ass though to plug in the scanner in terms of dealing with such a short firewall with high and tight connections/wires/parts etc...

I still have my scanner till this day and its been a few years, money well spent, I definetly underestimated how important this was going to be for me, espeicailly as it was my daily driver at one point. It was like 65 dollars or something like that when i bought it

Sorry to be asking so many questions but, I have an OBD2 computer reader that plugs into the port on the Roxor so do I still need the adapter or not?

I don't believe so, but I really don't remember. Call DF and ask them, they're happy to assist with questions relating to your Roxor needs

Thanks! I’ll check it out!
Most certainly. The roxor although reliable has a good amount of electronics. Its not like a roxor like variant from the pre-90s in India and other parts of the world, where it's mostly if not all mechanical vehicle

Everyone who intends to address the issues themselves needs this device, and especially if a daily driveer 1000000%%%%%

I hooked my Innova computer scanner up and it didn’t show any codes or anything. Another thing I thought of is it could be something to do with the wiring going to the computer. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so does anyone have a wiring diagram?

Hey RoxMan, the communications with the OBD interface is proprietary to Mahindra.

That was the reply that Mahindra sent me.

Email below:

Hello Darren,

I am just asking what the protocol that is being used for the OB2D. Are you not following SAE or ISO protocols for the OB2D or are you using a proprietary protocol. Aren't the requirements you follow meant to meet some standards?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting MAgNA.

There is not a protocol that will work on Roxor with scanner.

Ony dealer will have licensed software to interface.

Thanks! I’ll try finding a Mahindra dealer near here.

You may most certainly go dealer route; however, please note you have a 2.5L 2019 roxor as mentioned in my previous texts there are scanners that are 100% compatible and it has been 100% accurate for me, for the times I had issues.

More than likely the customer service representative was referencing to its newer 2.7L roxors.

I would say that most aftermarket scanners may test/scan for the standardized OBD2 codes. Since Mahindra protocol is proprietary, I would say that not all codes are scanned or maybe correct. Below is a disclaimer by a company who produces a scanner for Mahindra vehicles.

"OBDII Mahindra Code Definitions.

Be sure to double check the codes. Anything P1000 to P1999 or P3000 to P3400 will be Manufacturer specific and may not match the ones listed here."
