2.7 Tune Actual Speeds and RPM

The following is ballpark information for those interested in the results of the Diesel Freak Tune for the 2.7 engines. My Unit is a 2024 it has a windshield and roof but other than that it is open. The tires are 235/85 16. In between 31-32" I think. These RPM are ballpark but should be close enough to get a good idea of the performance. The gears are stock 5.38. Prior to the tune the unit barely got about 50 and it was working hard to get there. No problem now and of course much more speed. Not sure how much faster it would go about seemed fast enough. Of course the rpm just easy 50 rpm one way or the other depending on what is going on but did the best I could to provide some data.

35 mph about 1650
40 mph about 1850
50 mph about 2350
55 mph about 2600
60 mph about 2800
65 mph about 3000

I think I may take the plunge and get the tune this winter when I can't drive it as much. I'm just hoping it doesn't negatively effect the MPG. I think it should be ok since 90% of it's time is on gravel roads.

If I am not mistaken if driven conservatively it is supposed to be about the same or even more efficient. Wade at Diesel Freak could answer that for sure.

I did this for the group. I don't expect to push it much over 55 with my current setup.
