So, I usually don’t use my parking brake because it seems to always get stuck.

I was out of town for a few weeks, returned home the other day and drove the Roxor, and of course the rear passenger side drum brake is stuck. I drove it a bit hoping it would release. It hasn’t.. the Roxor was parked in gear so the parking brake wasn’t on.

I can’t get the rear drum to let go for the life of me, any suggestions? Should I jack it up an take the wheel and drum off? Hit it with a mallet or something?

Probably the parking brake cable in sticking inside its sheath. Try to free that up and put some PB blaster or similar down the cable.

I would make sure the parking brake is off and pull forward and then back up a few times, no more that 3 or 4 times should do it.

Other than that, you should just go to AutoZone or Advance Auto and get a brake shoe spoon for $7 to $10 and then just readjust the brake shoes. You will need to do this anyway to get the drum off if further work is needed.

I always use my parking brake, and I live on flat ground in Florida.

Ya it’s the passenger side park brake that’s locked up, I’ve attempted everything to get it unstuck. I’ll get the drum off this week and readjust it… I might see if the dealer can order a new assembly under warranty. The sheath the cable runs through under the Roxor is all cracked and the rubber to keep water out is all destroyed already.
