Soft Cab zippers failed....again.

Looks like I'm back to using my truck again. The Zippers on my soft cab failed again, this is the second time. The last one lasted the winter last year, the new one I got in the spring and just put on 2 weeks ago failed miserably. My dealer put in another warranty claim for a 3rd one, we all see how that goes. The claims seem to go through no trouble, but just replacing it with the exact same thing that just failed twice seems kind of pointless.....
Even the stitching let go on this one. You would thing Bestop (maker of the top) would know to put in better zippers.

And that's the best 40$ invested ever!!

Good job. Even with the best zipper in the world, zipper doors are a joke.

I have a tarp strap top and bottom to hold it shut and the top tarp strap doesn't even have to be undone to get in and out if I don't open it all the way and the bottom one doesn't really have to be done up if I'm not going down the road or it's not too cold out. It hooks to the handle for the seat.

I sandwiched the old door for my windows. I didn't even cut it. I didn't have anymore paint and town is 15 miles. I'll paint it in the summer.....maybe. I was going to use black, but I only had a can of yellow or blue. That is pipe insulation around it. It doesn't hold up great but it was $1.79 for 6 feet. lol

FYI. New door is on the way under warranty. This will be the 3 door, 2nd under warranty and the original. If they didn’t change anything I can’t see it lasting either.
