After a few rides in deep water, my starter is starting to "drag" and its taking a few tries (clicks) to finally start.
So I've ordered an OEM one from Leaders for $183.24 OTD.
I didn't want to pay the $300 for the sealed starter.

My question is:
Has anybody tried sealing the OEM starter?
Any success? Tips? Tricks?

I am on my third OEM starter. They really don't like water/mud! I have a sealed one on the shelf for when this one packs it in. I really do hope you are able to seal up the OEM one. But if you are like me and avoiding water is not an option, then I would recommend you order a sealed starter now and have it ready.
