16.32 U.S. MPG driving on steep gravel roads and 'never' getting out of 2nd gear. 2018 model, no powerplant or drivetrain mods.

I swapped axles with a guy that had 5:38's. Still have factory BFG and mine has the 5 speed. Running 60mph, I drove from Magee, MS to Coffeeville, AL. Around 120 miles and I burnt 5/8 to maybe 3/4 tank. I have noticed the fuel gage seems to be a little off since I leveled the front, not much. So I'd say 7 gallons of fuel. But that's turning 2800 RPM the whole trip...

AND I forgot to mention I pulled a 16' tandem axle trailer as well. I came over to get my Ram and trailered the Roxor back.

You won't do that with a Polaris!

Just got 29 with around town driving at 45mph and under, which is the best I've gotten since buying it in November. I've never gotten lower than 26.

Mines a 2020 with 5.38s and 315/75/r16 tires (including full size spare on the back)

How many RPM's do you turn @ 60 mph?

Rule of thumb in the Jeep days regarding TJs was 35s were about max on the dana 44 axles. Some made 37s live on them but they were by no means bullet proof. Given that we have Dana 44 clones the only way I’d run anything larger than 33’s is with a chrome molys And the full float kit in the rear. That’s the setup I did. Stock front axles have *hit U joints. When they bust you almost always stretch the ears. So just up grade that when regearing or adding a locker. The rear is a 2 piece design. While the OTR kit could be made better I feel it’s a vast improvement over stock. If I had my way I’d prefer a one piece full float axle over the axle and hub kit they offer. Either way if I was planning on going 37s or larger you’d be better off with an axle swap of some sort.

23 mpg on a 630 mile (highway) roadtrip with some serious climbs from 1000 ft to 8000 ft elevation. Calculated at fuel stops with miles compensated for larger tires (33").
I average around 28 mpg but when I did a 96 mile round trip on paved roads only, I got 45.3 mpg. I fil up by hand right to the brim and drove from 8000ft down to 3500 elevation and reversed the exact route. Refilled ex to the brim and used the average of what the odometer showed be against the route measured by Polaris ride comma app and also Google maps measuremen. Worst I have ever gotten out of is 22.3 but that was almost 95% off road.
