Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a 2019 Mahindra Roxor and I’ve been loving the rugged feel of it. I’m planning to do a few upgrades and one of the first things I want to tackle is installing aftermarket LED lights—both for better visibility and a cooler look. I’ve seen some videos online, but I’m hoping someone here can give me a solid, step-by-step guide specifically for the Roxor. Do I need a special wiring harness? Will I have to mess with the stock electrical system too much?

Also, any recommendations on good LED light brands that work well with the Roxor’s setup? I’m mainly looking for something that’s bright, durable, and doesn’t drain the battery too fast.

On a totally different note (just curious), I’ve been reading about vehicle automation and tech, and came across the term What are deep learning models?—if anyone here has dabbled in AI or knows how that might relate to off-road vehicles or navigation systems, I’d love to learn more!

Thanks,
Darcie

I would wire the LED Harness from Scratch.
Get the Marine Grade Switch from Rocker Switch Pro's. (Back Lit, Light Bar Engraved on the Switch)
Get power directly from the Battery. Put a Fuse on this #10 power wire.
Power up a Relay that is rated at 30 Amps at 12 Volts with the #10 Power Wire. Install this relay under the hood.
I would get the Switch Control Power for the Relay from A source such as the Lighter Plug that is only on when the key is on. This will make sure that the switch does not get accidentally turned on, and run down the battery.
Use Rubber Grommets through the firewall to keep wires from getting shorted out.
Use Marine Grade Connectors.

My advice on Light Bars would be to do the research, and do not go too cheap. I have not done any light bar research in a while. Normally very cheap, and you being happy with them for any length of time do not go hand in hand. Read Reviews. I would probably look over the Harbor Freight Light Bars to start with. They have uped their game on quality a lot the last few years. I have been very happy with the LED Rock Lights (Interior Lights on my Roxor) and the 6 Led Mini I am using for rear lighting. The Road Shock LED's get good reviews also. I suspect the larger light bars quality is just fine also.

Good Luck.

I installed a separate marine grade buss bar (blue sea systems) under the passenger side dash. Very clean and allows for future accessories down the road.

You are correct, an additional Distribution Panel is the best way to go if adding more than just a Light Bar.
I have also added a Fused Distribution Panel under the dash on my Roxor. Needed to power up all the extras. Interior Lighting, Turn Signals, Rear Facing Mini Light Bar, 12V Power on the rear bulkhead for power for my Sprayer and Seeder. And for Front Auxiliary Lighting when I get around to a Light Bar.
The Light Bar if it puts out serious light still needs powered through a Relay to keep from burning up the Switch.
