This video has some very good info in it.
Highlights:
1. Average 25 MPG (low 20's to high 20's depending how hard you run it). With the 12 gallon tank that equates to up to a 300 mile range.
2. 5W40 Full Synthetic Diesel Motor Oil, not brand specific. Went with the lower 5 weight and synthetic to improve performance in lower temp's.
3. Oil Changes: Seasonal. Can go up to 3,000-5,000 miles or 50-100 hours. They have been doing 100 hour oil changes on test vehicles.
4. Simple Valve Adjustments will be necessary at 12-15,000 mile mark.
5. 45 MPH in 5th Gear equals barely over 1,000 RPM's.
6. Iron sleeves in the cylinders.
