Ted I am very glad that you had an enjoyable day. Ted ended up taking his 204 out to 600 yards on the Hi-Power Range. We still had most of the Steel Targets set up from last weekends Two Gun Match in D Bay, which is our main Pistol Bay. Ted did very well on the Flop and Drop Dueling Tree with his 9mm handgun. The Dueling Tree can be tough. After shooting all of his guns that he had brought with him, I let Ted shoot a group at 200 yards with my 6.5 Creed moor Nosler M48 Bolt Action Center Grip Handgun. This is the handgun I will have in my deer stand tomorrow morning. I am pretty sure that Ted was impressed with the group he shot at 200 yards with it.
After shooting at the Range, we made a big circle through the rural Missouri Ozarks. We went from my house to close to Summersville. Then through Hartshorn, and down to Howell's Big Creek Trail Ride. We crossed Big Creek and drove on miles of two track to B Highway. I had planned on taking Ted to the Big Rock Candy Mountain Restaurant and Resort in Shannon County for lunch. Big Rock Candy Mountain is on B Highway, just up the road from Cedar Grove on the Current River, and also not all that far from Flat Nasty Off Road Park. Upon arrival we discovered that on Thursdays Big Rock's Restaurant did not open until 4 PM. This was only a slight set back. We ended up at Acleda's Corner Kitchen in Raymondville for lunch. Acleda's is what you would expect an old time, small town restaurant to be.
After talking all day, Ted and I have a lot in common. I am sure that if he lived 150 miles closer we would be hanging out together a lot. I hope after looking over Rocky, and discussing work that we have both done to our 2024 Roxor's, that he went home with some useful ideas of where he wants his build to go. I am sure we will be discussing where I ordered some of my parts from.
