Looking to buy
Hey yall, I was wondering about exahust setup, I was thinking of doing my own straight pipe on it, my question is more of the aftermarket stuff I see is 2.5" pipe, we'll I have a whole straight pipe exahust for a vehicle I don't even have anymore, so I was kinda hoping I could reuse that pipe, but is 3" to big? Anyone ever run 3"? Any videos of 3" or just straight pipe setups in general so I can get an idea of what I'm in for?

Depends what you want for sound. As for performance, there is no noticable difference between 2.5" and 3". Maybe a tiche louder on 3". If you have stock turbo on it yet with the cat, there would be no difference in the 2 for sure. I went with the Stealth turbo with intercooler and stage 3 Gilomen tune. I have 2.5" Straight pipe from turbo to a drivers side outlet and a Borla ProXS muffler. It give a nice tone, and it pretty quiet if you want that. The turbo whistle is there but very muted now. If you want the whistle and louder exhaust, leave the muffler out. Stainless is preffered due to the slight acidity made with Diesel, but hard to find and expensive, since it needs to be mandrel bent. Aluminized is what I did knowing i'll probably have to replace it sone years down the road. It does great for now though!
