My 2018 Roxor manual transmission developed a strange problem yesterday. Some friends took it up the hunting trail about 1/2 mile put it in neutral and set the brake. upon return it starts just fine but will not engage the transmission.
factors:
Just under 9000 miles
Vivid stage 1 tune since new. Under 100 hp
No noises from clutch or transmission prior to this, no noises after this happened
the transmission can be put into all gears without touching the clutch but nothing happens
the hi/lo 4 wd range lever can be put into all ranges without touching the clutch
the clutch seems to be lighter to push.
observations:
with a person depressing the clutch, the slave cylinder shows limited movement
the transmission linkages all appear to work correctly
pushing the roxor in neutral is easier than in gear (appears to engage gears in transmission)

mechanic friend believes the clutch blew…but no noise etc prior or after.
i am wondering if the master or slave cylinder is not releasing pressure
first step tomorrow is to take return spring off clutch pedal to see what the clutch does.
second step is to bleed the slave cylinder to see if anything happens

Anyone have an idea or another check to try?.

Contaminated clutch fluid was not letting the clutch slave cylinder release fully. There was some motion on the linkage but not enough.
The fluid appeared to have aluminum shavings in it from either the master or slave clutch cylinder. Cleaned the slave cylingder, flushed the system and back in businesss
