I have the LE with the BFG KO2’s. Is it worth changing to another tire? Specifically the BFG KM3? I would appreciate opinions and input.

It is an off road vehicle and I want maximum traction off road. I don’t have the knowledge to make an informed decision. But I do have a winch on the front.

I have BFG KM3’s 7.50/16 on factory wheels, no rubbing, ride nice and quiet on pavement and pull great off road, I run at about 20 psi, very stout tire, I’m satisfied with my decision.

I changed mine to Kanati mud hogs for 120 a piece on Amazon and am very happy so far. They look just like the old goodyear mtr which i loved.

What size BFG KM3 would one recommend and not change wheels? The existing KO2s are 235/70R/16. I guess I’d like to go as big as will fit and not rub.

Staying with the Factory wheel, 16x7, I believe you will be limited to the 265/75/16 and 7.50/16 in KM3’s to still fall in BFG specs for min-max rim width. I went with the 7.50 as it was 9# lighter than the 265 and I wanted to stay under 32” do to the 3.73 gears and tall ratio gearbox. The 7.50 mounted on 7” is just over 31” depending on inflation psi, and the 265 would likely be just under 32” mounted on 7” both of which would fit.

The only other KM3 size that might work is the 285/75/16, 33” but 64# and .5” outside of rim width spec. I didn’t look at it because it’s simply too much tire wt# and ht” for my needs. I believe a 33” would be max Roxor tire ht” w/o lift and no rub, depending on tire width and luck.

There are many manufacturers with good tires in 16” x 31-33” sizes that carry a more suitable load rating for the Roxor than the new E rated KM3. I did a lot of research but just have an affinity for BFG’s and the skinny 7.50/16. If you don’t care for skinny tires, the 7.50 won’t work because it’s skinny, see pic.

Sorry for the long explanation, hope it helped some, hopefully others will chime in with their tires.

Since I plan on using mine off road only, I went aggressive for the muddy terrain around here. 7.50-16 .

No rubbing and no lift, and I did take it on a private paved road just to see how it would ride and it was pretty smooth. Wouldn’t recommend using them for anything other than off road , but for a quick little trip down the road, they’re capable.

They look great, like thet’ll really dig. I wish the old Gateway Buckshots were still available, I would have gone with them, didn’t want to chance the e-bay knock offs but I didn’t see your tires while I was researching, they’d work great on my property, R1’s are a must for tractors. You say they’re 7.50-16, who makes them?

They are made by BKT #AS504. I just changed them out Friday and it’s not real wet around here right now. I’ll get to try them out soon. I’m not really much for playing in the mud, but if I need to go through it , it’s nice to be able to.

Visited Clemson 4wheel drive today. They did testing on the BFG KM3s, pre release, and are very big on it for off road. The size to fit our wheels should be available May of 2019. There is already a product number assigned to our size.
