Front marker lights as indicators

Looking to wire in indicators and wanted to have the front marker light dual function as indicators. Saw this and thought I could cut the connector and wire it in using the "taillight" as the marker light, use the "turn left/right" as marked and just not connecting the "brake".

Looked at multiple ways to build my own relay setup, but this seems much easier for not much money. If this is a no go, won't hurt my feelings but would like a relatively simple/cost effective solution.

I’ve done this and I replaced the 2 wire rectangle light with a 3 wire 1 1/4” light.

Very simple. Place a relay on each turn marker light. Run the existing B+ wire to pin 30, and then a new wire from 87 to the light.

To run the relay, ground 86, and run the turn signal wire to 85.
