Trying to convince wife to replace my very new stock Trailrunners for 235 85 R16 and would love to show her the size difference. Or before and after Roxor pics

My propsal is at the very end of my post....

When I decided on tires, I had a local Discount tire ask if they would order me a set of 235-85-16 and 255-85-16. They agreed to not charge shipping for my experiment as long as I would buy one of the sets.
I liked the look of the 255-85-16 and bought them. Discount tire shipped the 235-85-16 back to the warehouse.

I attached a picture showing off the 255-85-16.

Maybe you start with the picture of the 255-85-16 and let your wife talk you into the 235-85-16 tires.

I assume you're talking about our Roxors, not wifes ?

The front just has the add a leaf (hearterich and I both have a number of posts on it).
The rear is stock.
I run 1.5" spacers front and back.

Highway touring and city use only for both my Roxors. I adjusted the steering srops to get a nice tight radius. To test front tire clearance, I raised one tire with a jack under the axle. No rubbing full turn either way. Off road.... never tried how well it would do.

Or... you can ask your wife to pick between 285-65-17 and 235-85-16 tires.

This one has the On the Rox shackle reversal in the front and longer shackles in the back. The tires are so wide that I cannot adjust the steer stops without the tires rubbing. It has the stock turning radius.... unfortunately.

Not quite an exact before and after but you should get the idea. Stock suspension. New tires are Falken Wildpeaks in 235/85 r16.

Buying wheels plus tires will be a harder sell

Those tires are really an oddball size. Selling them privately isn't going to well. But it seems I got the wife on board regardless. May go Walmart tires or under 150ea. ??

Hey mike, I love been looking at the AT version of those. Your right the MT are narley. I leveled my front end so It won't rub. Wife will let me swap wheels if I don't go to crazy. Send me a pic text or here of how it looks

@CJ2Rox: when I got the larger tires, I sold the stock tires through Phoenix Craigslist. I started at $55 and ended up getting $45 a tire.

Tire shops offered me $10 - $15 a tire. National chain and independent tires shops didn't make a difference.
